What’s this about?

Come together for a meaningful conversation about the Cayman Islands’ future while enjoying delicious, local food.

The dinner table has long been a birthplace of connection and action. US President Thomas Jefferson pioneered the art of dining with intention, inviting people from all over the country, and world, to his table and encouraging conversation on issues and topics of the day—conversations that helped define a country and its future.

We’re inviting you to join us in bringing that practice to life across our islands.

Your dinner will harness the power of gathering around a table to break bread, to build community, and inspire thought and action. Our greatest hope is that ideas sparked at these dinners will translate into meaningful collaborations in the months ahead.

You can participate in the Beloved Table Dinner as an attendee or a host, at the farm-to-table dinner or at home. Continue reading to learn more.

Celebrate Cayman with Dinner & Conversation

As a part of the 60th anniversary of the Cayman Islands Coat of Arms, Celebrate Cayman is encouraging the people of the Cayman Islands to host Beloved Table Dinners where we can talk about our vision for our country and the well-being of all of those who call the Cayman Islands home.

The Beloved Table Dinner is being held around and to honour Cayman Thanksgiving.

Cayman-thanksgiving-logo.png

What is Cayman Thanksgiving? Cayman Thanksgiving is an inclusive celebration that will provide everyone an opportunity to experience our heritage and culture, and portray our values through the power of family, community and the desire to give thanks for the blessings of life. Cayman Thanksgiving can be celebrated by everyone in the Cayman Islands, the Caymanian diaspora and other people of the world who have an affinity for these Islands.

Why attend or host a Beloved Table Dinner?

Celebrate Cayman is encouraging people like you in the Cayman Islands to attend or host a dinner where people from different parts of our community can come together and talk about their vision for our Islands and the ways we can get there.

Beyond that, a Beloved Table Dinner is an opportunity for people to get to know each other—to create and share ideas, expand networks, and be part of a national conversation.

What happens after The Beloved Table Dinner?

Once all feedback has been received, the insights will be compiled in a report and sent directly to the Beloved Table Dinner hosts and available to the wider community.
