Project Category:
Waves: sustainability (environment and ocean)

Project Description:
Help beautify a local non-profit facility that has been providing the youth of Cayman Islands with a social, physical and educational outlets since 1991. We need a team to build multiple water and trash can stations and then paint them with Cayman artistic flavor at the Field of Dreams sports complex and YMCA Teambuilding Climbing Tower.

We would like to build water and trash can stations with a Cayman artistic look at the Field of Dreams sports complex and YMCA Teambuilding climbing tower. We currently have trash cans and water coolers around the facility but we would like to have these items placed inside of wood containers that are decorated with Cayman artists designs to encourage the children to see Cayman beauty and think artistically while they stay hydrated and keep the facility clean.

The project will require individuals with experience in wood working and light construction or artistic ability to paint the completed stations. Tools provided by participants will be needed in order to complete the project in a timely manner and all other supplies will be provided by the YMCA. These small structures will be built from wood and held together with nails. They will need be water sealed for longevity and painted by artistic participants with designs that are intriguing to all of the youth that participate in activities at Filed of Dreams and represent the Cayman Islands lifestyle. 1 stations will be provided as a template.

Special Requirements:
Participants will need to be familiar with carpentry, tools and working with their hands. Artists will need to provide special painting supplies they would need to paint Cayman designs on stations.
